June 2025 specification: GIC1 is a scenario-based open-book examination with a 24-hour download, completion and submission window, followed by a closing interview. Its provisional pass mark is 45%. GIC2 is a workplace practical risk assessment marked out of 100, with a pass mark of 60%. Both units must be passed within five years of the first successful unit result.
